Position Summary:

The Cook at our Grand Oaks facility is responsible for all food preparation so that food meets and/or exceeds quality, quantity, and service schedule requirements and hospitality service standards for the community. Responsible to effectively manage all food production in the absence of the Executive Chef or Dining Service Director.



Responsible for handling all foods in accordance with sanitary procedures and standards and compiles with all federal, state, and local regulatory procedures regarding food production.

Education:



  • High school diploma/GED preferred.
  • One (1) year job related experience including food preparation, full-line menu items, and therapeutic diets.
  • Maintains a current ServSafe certificate (food services sanitation certificate) or able to participate in the food services sanitation training to become ServSafe certified.
  • Culinary apprenticeship or training preferred.


Duties and Responsibilities:



  • Preparation and food service.
  • Record keeping: Food Safety Equipment Records, Temperature Records, Resident Services, Sanitation and Maintenance, Risk Management and General Safety, training and contributing to team success.
  • Adheres to all hospital and departmental policies and procedures.

Salary Range: Minimum 20.71/hour - Maximum 34.15/hour. Compensation will be commensurate with equity and experience for roles of similar scope and responsibility.
