The primary responsibilities of the Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse are the direct application of clinical expertise to study participants in the Neuroscience Clinical Research Unit. The Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse works collaboratively with the Medical Director of the NCRU, NCRU Nurse Manager, Principal Investigators, and research staff to conduct study procedures per protocol. The Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse has responsibility for maintaining quality of care standards for all procedures performed and for ensuring all clinical care meets regulatory standards for the patients participating in clinical trials. The Per Diem Clinical Research Nurse evidences self-direction, accountability, and an attention to detail. The incumbent shall provide nursing care under the direction of the Medical Director of Neuroscience Clinical Research Unit (NCRU) and Nurse Managers for shift duties. The Nurse shall function in accordance with standardized procedures and policies. Incumbent will perform other duties as needed. About the Neurosciences Clinical Research Unit The Neurosciences Clinical Research Unit (NCRU) at Mission Bay is a multi-disciplinary outpatient clinical research unit that provides state of the art research space along with nursing, phlebotomy, and imaging services to support observational and investigational research studies through the Department of Neurology.

The final salary and offer components are subject to additional approvals based on UC policy.
Your placement within the salary range is dependent on a number of factors including your work experience and internal equity within this position classification at UCSF. For positions that are represented by a labor union, placement within the salary range will be guided by the rules in the collective bargaining agreement.
