Job Title: Applications Programming Specialist
Location: Malvern, PA
Employment Type: Temp (3 months)
Industry: Manufacturing
Compensation: $20.50 - $22.62 /hr.
Schedule: 40 hrs/Week. - (1 st shift)
About the Opportunity:
  • Plans, conducts, and coordinates business programming applications activities in areas such as finance, people & organization, and marketing.
  • Conducts and prepares feasibility studies for new data processing applications or revisions to existing systems.
  • Prepares system development cost estimates, budgets, and schedules.
  • Prepares and presents project proposals to management and user departments.
  • Establishes programming standards and program documentation requirements.

What You'll Do:
  • Reviews the current status of system applications and prepares recommendations for system improvements.
  • Monitors design processes and prepares reports on systems projects.
  • Work is still routine and procedural, but changing priorities or differing situations are encountered regularly.
  • Thinking then is focused on analyzing, evaluating, prioritizing, and solving operational issues and incidents, or on optimizing tools used in the process.
  • While working under supervision, positions are designed to provide some advice and assistance to less experienced colleagues.
  • Positions support business processes, the solution of technical issues, the development of new methodologies, procedures, tools, and products with their theoretical and practical know-how and understanding.
  • They focus on the interpretation and application of procedures, analyze issues, implement changes, and may advise and guide operational positions in their area of specialism.
  • Work is routine in a related field of work, gaining experience through focused in-house training.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 2+ years of experience in business systems analysis, application support, or related technical environments.

  • Bachelor Entry
  • Entry-level academic Bachelor positions need sound knowledge of principles, technologies, and theories.
  • Certifications in specific fields might be needed.
  • Vocationally trained and experienced (semi-) professional positions with extensive knowledge of a range of specific processes and systems.
  • Professional qualification with basic knowledge in a technical field.
