Overview

This position will act as a supervisory role over the CIA HCT and PCA positions. They will manage onboarding/training, scheduling, staffing, and oversee job duties and performance for the above-listed positions. Collaboration with leadership team to provide staff support, coaching, and mentorship.
Qualifications

Certifications: Basic Life Support (BLS) within 30 days - American Heart Association (AHA), Education: H.S. Diploma/GED, Work Experience: Successful completion of Carle's HCT In Training Program; Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA)
Responsibilities

Assists Manager with onboarding and education of employees.
Rounding and evaluation of float staff.
Serves as resource within the organization and/or community.
Provide exceptional customer service internally and externally
Fulfills all requirements of departmental competencies.
Maintains safe intelligence operations by following safety and emergency procedures.
Serves department leadership, mentoring leaders and assuring strong succession planning.
Participate in medical and nursing staff education
Demonstrates competency in selected psychomotor skills as outlined in the skills checklist including: measurement of vital signs, blood glucose monitoring, and measuring and recording intake and output.
Perform all duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs), organizational policies, and regulatory requirements
Review overall compliance by staff with regulatory agencies related to patient safety including DNV, OSHA, CMS, and IDPH.
Recommend various personnel actions including but not limited to hiring, performance appraisals, and promotions; make work assignments and review and edit work of subordinates.
Supports the Manager in collecting information for accreditation surveys and departmental audits. Actively assists the Manager with implementation of the recommended changes.
Provides leadership for initiatives designed to improve the quality of care or clinical outcomes.
Completes all unit competencies Works collaboratively with staffing office personnel Holds direct reports accountable to dept code of conduct, organization policies and procedures as Carle Behavior standards Maintain acceptable attendance and punctuality for scheduled work hours and meetings. Ensure completion of assigned tasks and responsibilities within defined timeframes Maintains safe intelligence operations by following safety and emergency procedures.

Compensation and Benefits

The compensation range for this position is $24.18per hour - $40.38per hour. This represents a good faith minimum and maximum range for the role at the time of posting by Carle Health. The actual compensation offered a candidate will be dependent on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's experience, qualifications, location, training, licenses, shifts worked and compensation model.
