Partnership Manager

The Partnership Manager is responsible for building strategic relationship with designated partners to drive revenue and market share expansion for Thomson Reuters. Primary job duties are focused on establishing and leading the global strategy and business planning which includes;driving pipeline creation, revenue expansion, cross functional alignment, and go-to-market execution with the assigned partner(s).This role will work within Thomson Reuters as well within the partner's organization through building credibility, effective communication, and promoting the Thomson Reuters value proposition, strategy and vision and cultivating key executive and sales leader relationships that result in an effective partnership that delivers material impact to the partner and Thomson Reuters.

This is an individual contributor role, reporting into the VP of Partnerships & Alliances.

Location: remote based position, can be based in/near any US based city.

About the Role:

In this opportunity, as Partnership Manager you will:

  • Proactively engage at the field level with Partners to promote Thomson Reuters products, solutions and brand to partner stakeholders creating enthusiasm and demand to work with us.
  • Understand and communicate the business value of Thomson Reuters' products and solutions to the Partner field teams.
  • Develop business plans and playbooks to drive internal/external execution of objectives.
  • Own relationships at multiple levels of Partner with the goal of sourcing qualified sales pipeline and supporting co-selling opportunities.
  • Manage partner sales pipeline and provide accurate forecasts to management.
  • Report on progress to plan, activities and partner performance on a regular basis.
  • Drive and participate in regular QBRs with Partner leadership.
  • Contribute to partner marketing efforts with the help of Partner Marketing Directors for marketing and co-marketing opportunities (lunch-n-learns, seminars, webinars, campaigns, trade shows).
  • Provide feedback to channel peers and leadership regarding market intelligence, competition, knowledge gaps and other valuable insights gained while working with partners.
  • Build out and maintain partner profile information and contact information in PRM, CRM and other related systems.
  • Represent TR in various industry events, conferences and associations.
  • Identify growth opportunities to create needs and competitive solutions.
  • Ensure we have the right connections between Thomson Reuters and the partner at all levels and the ability to bring the relevant stakeholder from both organizations into strategic meetings.
  • Lead global communication amongst the account teams covering these partners globally; coordinate multi-country deals to ensure maximum value for Thomson Reuters and a well-coordinated partner experience while buying from Thomson Reuters.
  • Ensure partner satisfaction with Thomson Reuters; serve as a senior point of escalation for issues and take a leadership role in problem solving on behalf of the partner.
  • Act as a Thomson Reuters ambassador in the partner's enterprise.
  • Build, deliver and track strategic global account plan; forecast, track, report key information, performance indicators.
  • Lead a global virtual team across Thomson Reuters; know whom to engage, how to engage them to ensure delivery for partner.

About You:

You're a fit for the role of Partnership Manager if you have:

  • BA/BS required with 7+ years of experience in sales, business development, and strategic account management, including managing large customer relationships and growing complex global accounts
  • 5+ years of global industry experience working for or selling into the Top 100 U.S. accounting firms, with deep knowledge of market trends, partner needs, strong industry network-building, and strategic partnership development
  • Experience working in or with systems integrators, technology consultancies, and large or mid-sized organizations preferred
  • Exceptional consultative selling, strategic account planning, and relationship management skills, with a track record of growing large, complex accounts, engaging C-suite stakeholders, and leading complex strategic negotiations through agreement execution
  • Proven ability to develop and execute innovative sales strategies in cross-functional, global, and highly matrixed environments across geographies and business lines
  • Entrepreneurial, agile, and resourceful self-starter who thrives in ambiguity and fast-paced, evolving environments, and can help establish new or unproven standards
  • Excellent communication, collaboration, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in dynamic, highly collaborative settings
  • Global experience across multiple markets strongly preferred; experience living or working internationally is a plus
  • Ability to travel as needed for covered partners and territory

For any eligible US locations, unless otherwise noted, the base compensation range for this role is $119,700 USD - $222,300 USD. Base pay is positioned within the range based on several factors including an individual's knowledge, skills and experience with consideration given to internal equity. Base pay is one part of a comprehensive Total Reward program which also includes flexible and supportive benefits and other wellbeing programs.
