Position Summary

We are currently seeking prospective candidates for an upcoming opportunity with the Administration for Children and Families (ACF) Office of Refugee Resettlement (ORR). This requirement provides critical mission support across various technical, program management, and administrative functions to assist ORR in its mission to promote the health, well-being, and stability of refugees and unaccompanied children. The Senior Operations Manager oversees administrative oversight, records management, and logistics across Refugee Resettlement and Unaccompanied Alien Children (UAC) programs.

Candidates must reside in the Washington-D.C. area full-time but able to travel intermittently in support of ORR-funded programs across the continental United States.

Responsibilities include, but are not limited to the duties listed below:

  • Direct high-level organizational support by managing tasks, schedules, and resources across multiple divisions.
  • Implement and oversee agency records management systems, ensuring compliance with federal statutes.
  • Assist with event and meeting logistics and travel arrangements for federal and contractor staff.
  • Manage detailed SOPs for all administrative and operational tasks.
  • Review and prepare responses to information requests and assist federal staff in safeguarding PII.
  • Organize and maintain digital/paper records, take minutes, and prepare presentation materials for high-level briefings.
  • Develop internal quality assurance procedures to monitor personnel files and ensure operational compliance.
  • Support federal staff in monitoring compliance with safety, security, and facility-related requirements.
  • Ensure the timely execution of priorities by tracking requests and maintaining organized filing systems.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Experience: Minimum 7 years of relevant experience in program operations or business administration.
  • Leadership: Minimum 3 years of supervisory or team lead experience.
  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, or relevant subject; Master's degree preferred.
  • Certification: PMP or relevant records management certification preferred.
