Job Overview

This position reports to Director, IT Applications Americas and supports the full implementation life cycle of IT projects with a focus on SAP SD, as well as Test Management using SAP's Solution Manager. The Senior IT Applications Business Systems Analyst provides project management and subject matter consulting services for both new implementations, ongoing projects and change requests, acting as a liaison between the business functions and the technical team. This position is also responsible for performing detailed analysis of complex business process requirements and providing appropriate system solutions. The Senior IT Applications Business Systems Analyst is responsible for mapping client business requirements, processes, and objectives, as well as designing, customizing, configuring and testing SAP, and working with SAP's Solution Manager to manage end-to-end testing. The position delivers these objectives by collaborating with internal, external, local and global resources.

Job Responsibilities and Essential Duties



  • Act as key resource and subject matter expert in IT for SAP SD, as well as for the end-to-end Test Management process using Solution Manager.
  • Manage SAP and related implementation projects in SAP with a focus on SD. Plan, execute and actively participate in all phases of a project or change request, such as: requirements gathering and documentation, process mapping, specification development, customization, configuration, testing, validation, migration, go-live, hypercare and knowledge transfer.
  • Work with business and other IT resources to fully understand business processes, identify business issues, and recommend opportunities for improvement.


  • Collaborate and communicate with business and IT teams to define project task/change request status and prioritize, deliver, track, and escalate issues, including third party applications and interfaces.
  • Provide project task/change request updates on a consistent basis to various business and IT stakeholders regarding deliverables, adjustments and progress.
  • Manage end-to-end testing for enterprise scale SAP (e.g., SAP S/4 implementation) projects. Ensure that complex SAP solutions are tested in a coordinated, riskbased, and businessfocused way so the system is ready for realworld use.
  • Work with key users and other business stakeholders to onboard business testers, as well as plan and orchestrate multiple testing cycles. Provide timely testing status reporting, help manage defect resolution and ensure all testing scope and deadlines are met.
  • Understand business processes and the related SAP core functions and be able to troubleshoot issues.
  • Collaborate and communicate with internal, external, local and global resources on SAP and related support.
  • Provide user support as the need arises.



Minimum Requirements



  • Bachelor's Degree or equivalent in information technology or computer science or related field, or an equivalent combination of education and relevant work experience.
  • 7+ years of SAP related experience with strong knowledge of the Test Management processes.
  • Thorough knowledge of SAP Solution Manager.
  • 5+ years experience in managing projects throughout the full project life cycle.
  • Solid understanding of the software development life cycle, waterfall and Agile and other project methodologies.
  • Fundamental knowledge of internal controls.

  • Awareness of validation and compliance topics.

  • Ability to translate business needs into technical requirements.
  • Critical thinking, problem solving and conflict resolution abilities.
  • Strong collaboration, facilitation and interpersonal skills.
  • Good familiarity with project management tools and best practices.
  • Ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced project environment.
  • Ability to work with composure in urgent and high-pressure situations.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office suite.



Preferred Knowledge, Skills and Abilities



  • PMP, ITIL, CISA, 6 Sigma certification.



Targeted salary range: $116,000- $150,000, depending upon experience and location +10% bonus target
