Overview

NakupunaSolutions is seeking to hire a Site Project Manager to support United States Marine Corps (USMC) installations Marine Corps Base Camp (MCB) Pendleton, Marine Corps Air Station (MCAS) Miramar, MCAS Yuma, Marine Corps Air Ground Combat Center (MCAGCC) 29 Palms, Marine Corps Mountain Warfare Training Center (MCMWTC) Bridgeport, and Marine Corps Logistics Base (MCLB) Barstow to work as a member of Nakupuna's USMC Base Modernization project management team. The Site Project Manager will work hand in hand with other technical engineers and the Program Manager to deliver installation requirements on time, at cost, and to the quality standards of the Nakupuna Companies.

Responsibilities

    Support site surveys and client engagements at government installations on the West Coast of the United States to identify and document the current network infrastructure installed to ensure the technical solution meets the customer requirements and schedule
  • Manage the installation, configuration, and information assurance of a major network installation and convergence
  • Manage communications with local stakeholders and represent the Nakupuna Companies with clients and subcontractors
  • Support the Engineering team in implementing the technical solutions for new and existing clients by scheduling, managing customer expectations, and working to clear delivery hurdles
  • Provide feedback to the Program Manager on risk, schedule impacts, mitigations, and resolutions
  • Maintain accurate project schedules, plans, communications plans, risk registers, and other project related documentation
  • Understanding of networking technologies, topologies, and protocols. (TCP/IP, Routing, Switching, VLANs, Ethernet) knowledge of GPON is a plus


Qualifications

Skills/Qualifications: Exceptional communication skills with the ability to clearly communicate risk items and potential resolutions, Highly self-motivated and ability to work independently in a global team environment, Exceptional analytical skills, able to apply knowledge and experience in decision-making to arrive at creative and commercial solutions, Strong desire to learn and contribute solutions and ideas to a broad team, Independent and comfortable in a fast paced, ambiguous and often multi-directional work environments.

Education and Experience:

  • BS degree in a Technology or management related field is required
  • 7+ years' experience in managing telecommunications and IT projects is required
  • 7+ years' experience delivering solutions to government clients is required
  • Experience working with DoD clients
  • Experience working with MS Project creating and editing project schedules

Certification Requirement:

  • Professional level network industry certification - PMP preferred

Military Installation Access: This position resides on a military installation. Must be a U.S. Citizen and be able to qualify for and obtain a base access pass. Must be able to obtain a favorable National Security Agency Check (NACI) including a FBI fingerprint check.

Clearance: Must be able to obtain a Secret security clearance.

Locations: Work will primarily be performed at USMC installations MCB Pendleton, MCAS Miramar, MCAS Yuma, MCAGCC 29 Palms, MCMWTC Bridgeport, MCLB Barstow, with potential support at additional military installations within the United States as required.

Travel: To and from each Marine Corps base listed and surrounding areas to build client relationships, problem solve, planning, execution of contract, and as needed to maintain costs, high delivery standards, and foster customer relationships.

Travel outside of this area is expected to be less than 10%.

Physical Requirements: The ideal candidate must at a minimum be able to meet the following physical requirements of the job with or without a reasonable accommodation:

  • Occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 40lbs, and occasionally lift and/or move parts up to 50lbs
  • Stand, walk, stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl for the majority of working hours
  • Occasionally bend, stretch, twist, or reaching overhead when reaching out or moving items
  • Occasionally use arms, hands, and fingers to grasp, moving of items

The Nakupuna Companies use a market-based compensation strategy to ensure that our employees are compensated within applicable market ranges commensurate with multiple factors, including but not limited to the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability, organizational requirements, and position location. The projected compensation range for this position is $95,000.00 to $125,000.00 (annualized USD). The salary range displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Nakupuna Companies total compensation package for employees.
