Job Summary

The Class B Delivery Driver is responsible for safely operating a 20-foot stake bed truck to deliver heating, ventilation, and air conditioning (HVAC) products and parts to customer locations within a regional delivery radius. This role is primarily driving-focused, with additional responsibilities in warehouse operations including loading and unloading materials. The driver ensures accurate deliveries, maintains professional customer interactions, and complies with all DOT and company safety regulations. The ideal candidate is reliable, safety-conscious, customer-oriented, and comfortable working in both driving and warehouse environments.

Job Responsibilities



  • Safely operate a Class B 20-foot stake bed truck to complete scheduled deliveries.
  • Deliver HVAC materials and parts to customer locations within designated routes.
  • Load and unload materials using a sit-down forklift and/or manual handling as required.
  • Ensure all materials are properly secured and within weight limits during transport.
  • Validate delivery directions and ensure timely completion of assigned routes.
  • Obtain customer signatures and ensure accurate completion of delivery documentation.
  • Pick up customer returns and verify product accuracy for credit processing.
  • Retrieve local pickup orders and return packing lists as required.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors throughout the workday.
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections daily.
  • Fuel vehicles and report maintenance issues, accidents, or violations promptly.
  • Verify completion and accuracy of delivery paperwork and return all documents to the warehouse.
  • Assist with warehouse duties including loading, unloading, and material handling as needed.
  • Maintain compliance with DOT regulations, company policies, and safety procedures.
  • Represent the company professionally while providing excellent customer service.
  • Work overtime as required based on business needs.


Job Requirements



  • Valid Class B Commercial Driver's License required (minimum 1 year CDL experience required).
  • Minimum of 1 year experience operating Class B vehicles required.
  • Must be at least 21 years of age.
  • Must hold required DOT medical certification and self-certification (non-excepted interstate).
  • Experience operating a sit-down forklift required.
  • Ability to safely load, secure, and unload materials.
  • Strong customer service and communication skills.
  • Ability to use a smartphone for routing, communication, and documentation.
  • Strong attention to detail and ability to follow safety procedures.
  • Ability to lift and handle materials as part of warehouse duties.
  • Ability to work independently and manage time effectively on assigned routes.
  • Willingness to perform both driving and warehouse responsibilities.


Work Experience



  • Minimum of 1 year of Class B driving experience required.
  • Experience in delivery, logistics, or warehouse operations preferred.
