Purpose of the Role

Worley is seeking a highly strategic and operationally driven Senior Manager, Expediting to lead global expediting strategy and execution across complex energy, chemicals, and resources projects. This role is critical to ensuring the timely delivery of equipment, materials, and third-party services that enable project certainty, operational continuity, and sustainable project outcomes.

Aligned with Worley's purpose of delivering a more sustainable world, this role ensures that supply chain performance supports the successful progression of projects from consulting and engineering through installation, commissioning, and long-term asset transformation. By driving proactive supplier engagement, schedule assurance, and integrated expediting governance, the Senior Manager, Expediting plays a vital role in bridging current operational demands with future-focused sustainability ambitions.

This position supports Worley's evolution from trusted engineering partner to global sustainability solutions leader by embedding disciplined expediting practices, data-centric oversight, and collaborative execution that protect customer commitments, reduce delivery risk, and strengthen project lifecycle performance.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead the development and implementation of enterprise-wide expediting strategies that ensure the on-time delivery of critical equipment, materials, and subcontracted services across global projects.
  • Direct all expediting activities from purchase order issuance through manufacturing, inspection, logistics coordination, and final delivery to ensure alignment with project milestones, customer commitments, and sustainability objectives.
  • Establish project-specific expediting plans that identify priority equipment, critical path materials, supplier progress checkpoints, escalation protocols, and performance expectations.
  • Oversee supplier production monitoring and progress verification activities to ensure manufacturing schedules, documentation deliverables, inspections, and shipment timelines are consistently achieved.
  • Build and maintain strong supplier relationships to proactively identify schedule risks, resolve production bottlenecks, and drive accountability throughout the procurement and delivery lifecycle.
  • Lead the identification, analysis, and mitigation of delivery risks that may impact project execution, implementing corrective actions that protect project schedules and commercial outcomes.
  • Collaborate closely with procurement, engineering, quality, logistics, construction, and project controls teams to ensure expediting priorities are fully integrated into broader project delivery strategies.
  • Drive the implementation of advanced tracking systems, reporting tools, and data-centric expediting processes that improve visibility, forecasting accuracy, and stakeholder confidence.
  • Provide strategic oversight of supplier performance metrics, manufacturing progress trends, and delivery assurance frameworks to support informed decision-making and continuous improvement.
  • Develop governance standards, policies, and best practices for expediting functions that enhance operational consistency across Worley's global portfolio.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop expediting professionals and cross-functional teams through inclusive leadership, technical guidance, and capability development.
  • Present complex schedule insights, supplier performance concerns, and mitigation strategies to senior leadership and customers, influencing outcomes and strengthening delivery confidence.

Qualifications / Skill Set
  • Degree in supply chain management, engineering, project management, business, logistics, or a related discipline, or equivalent industry experience in major project execution environments.
  • Extensive experience in expediting, procurement, supplier management, manufacturing oversight, or project delivery within energy, chemicals, resources, or industrial infrastructure sectors.
  • Advanced understanding of manufacturing processes, supplier production cycles, inspection milestones, logistics interfaces, and project schedule integration.
  • Demonstrated expertise in managing critical path delivery strategies, supplier performance assurance, schedule recovery initiatives, and operational risk mitigation.
  • Strong commercial and operational acumen with the ability to balance schedule priorities, supplier relationships, customer expectations, and business objectives.
  • Proven capability to align expediting operations with broader organizational strategy, sustainability priorities, and integrated project lifecycle goals.
  • Advanced knowledge of digital reporting tools, expediting systems, data analytics, and process improvement methodologies that support transparency and delivery excellence.
  • Strong understanding of sustainability principles as they relate to responsible project execution, operational efficiency, and supply chain resilience.
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence suppliers, project leaders, and executive stakeholders across global environments.
  • Demonstrated leadership capability in managing teams, developing functional strategy, implementing governance frameworks, and fostering high-performance cultures.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and decision-making capability, with the ability to resolve complex delivery challenges while maintaining alignment with policy, project, and customer priorities.
  • Ability to thrive in complex, multicultural, and fast-paced project environments while reinforcing Worley's commitment to delivering sustainable change through disciplined execution and trusted partnership.
