Overview EMPLOYER: New York Institute of Technology POSITION TITLE: Research Associate HOURS / WEEK: 35 RATE OF PAY: $43,576 to $69,700 / year JOB SITE LOCATION: 600 Northern Blvd., Greenvale, NY 11548 Responsibilities New York Institute of Technology's Office of Institutional Research seeks a Research Associate based out of its Old Westbury, NY campus with frequent visits to its New York, NY campus. This position does not require domestic or international travel. This position reports to the Director of Institutional Research to support New York Tech's efforts to leverage information for decision-making and to advance its mission and strategic plan. Responsibilities include: Ensure timely completion of federal, state, and other external reporting (IPEDS, NYSED, U.S. News, etc.). Use and provide data visualization, dashboards, and predictive analytics to support and advance institutional priorities, including: student persistence and success; enrolment management; diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives; learning outcomes assessment; and operational effectiveness. Use and enhance available analytical tools to develop and run models for projections and forecasting. Work with the Office of Institutional Effectiveness and other departments to administer surveys (Noel-Levitz, NSSE, First Destination etc.) and prepare analyses and reports on these surveys to support institutional assessment. Assist in the design and implementation of an Institutional Research database to support institutional and compliance reporting requirements. Support the Director of Institutional Research with developing consistent institutional reports and dashboards and developing the infrastructure to deliver them to users. Maintain and update the Institutional Research webpage. Assist with Institutional Research projects as assigned by the director. Perform other duties as assigned. Qualifications Bachelor's degree (or foreign academic equivalent) in Computer Science, Data Science, Mathematics or a related field and Six (6) months of experience in the job offered or related position. Experience must include: Experience with Tableau Prep, Python, SQL, IBM SPSS Statistics; Experience with data visualization tools such as Tableau, and PowerBI.
