Overview

Computational Biologist - Technical Support, Spatial Biology

Bruker Spatial Biology is seeking a motivated Computational Biologist to join our Technical Support team within Customer Experience. In this role, you will support data analysis for Bruker's spatial biology platforms. You will assist in resolving customer inquiries, providing resources and tools, and delivering training for internal teams and external users. Working closely with Commercial and R&D teams, you will contribute to successful customer outcomes by helping address data analysis challenges with accuracy and scientific insight.



Responsibilities

Essential Responsibilities:

    Support data analysis workflows and tools for Bruker's spatial biology platforms.
  • Respond to technical inquiries and assist with data quality issues across transcriptomics and proteomics workflows.
  • Help implement and maintain analytical workflows for customer spatial 'omics datasets.
  • Provide training and troubleshooting support for internal and external users.
  • Assist in interpreting results and linking findings to biological questions and study goals.
  • Communicate results clearly to both technical and non-technical audiences.
  • Collaborate with research scientists, software developers, and customer-facing teams to resolve challenges.
  • Stay informed about emerging tools and methods in spatial omics data analysis.


Qualifications

Qualifications:

  • S. or PhD in Computational Biology, Bioinformatics, Biostatistics, or related field; or B.S. with 2+ years of relevant experience. PhD preferred.
  • Experience analyzing high-dimensional 'omics datasets (e.g., transcriptomics, proteomics) using bioinformatics and statistical methods.
  • Proficiency in R; familiarity with Python or other scripting languages is a plus.
  • Basic domain knowledge in a relevant biological area (e.g., oncology, immunology).
  • Ability to communicate scientific findings to diverse audiences.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Customer-focused mindset with good interpersonal and collaboration abilities.

At Bruker, base salary is part of our total compensation. The estimated base salary range for this full-time position is between $101,000 to $156,000 provides an opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role.The base salary for the role will depend on a several job-related factors, including, but not limited to education, training, experience, the geographic location of the successful candidate, skills, competencies, job-related knowledge and travel requirements for this position. Full-time employees may also be eligible for a performance-related incentive in addition to a full range of benefits including 401(k) with company match, an employee stock purchase plan, medical and dental plans, life insurance, short-term and long-term disability insurance, employee assistance program and paid time off including vacation, sick time and holidays, and more.
