This position includes membership in the health sciences compensation plan, which provides for eligibility for additional compensation. [Apm 670]

Position description

The UCLA Department of Ophthalmology invites applications for a full-time faculty position at the level of assistant, associate or full professor to function as a comprehensive ophthalmologist with specialty training in glaucoma, cornea and/or uveitis, with primary activities in the clinical sites that comprise the UCLA Health Department of Ophthalmology such as the Stein Eye Institute, Stein Eye Centers, Doheny Eye Centers-UCLA and affiliated hospitals. Applicants should be dedicated to teaching, exemplary patient care, professional activities, creative contributions to administrative, academic or research activities, and service to the University and to the profession. Candidates must be board eligible and eligible for medical licensure in the State of California.

Further, the Search Committee welcomes candidates whose personal and professional experiences, mentorship, and contributions to supporting the success of all students and trainees, regardless of background, have qualified them for this position.

Qualifications
Basic qualifications

Medical degree (M.D. or equivalent)

Postgraduate residency training in ophthalmology

Additional qualifications

Fellowship training in cornea and external ocular diseases, or

Fellowship training in uveitis, or

Fellowship training in glaucoma
