DESCRIPTION

Under general direction of Cystic Fibrosis leadership, the Clinical Social Worker provides social work services consisting of discharge planning, continuing care services and clinical social work services; including crisis intervention, mandated reporting, information and referral coordination of health and mental health services with community providers. The Social Worker is responsible for education and advocacy of patients, families and/or significant others. Participates in related department functions, such as community and program education.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • A Master's degree from an accredited school of social work (MSW).

  • Licensed Clinical Social Worker (LCSW) - issued by the state of California

  • Three (3) years post MSW experience.

  • Must possess the knowledge and abilities essential to the successful performance of the duties assigned to the position.

  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Must be able to work within a team environment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Healthcare or Medical experience.
  • Experience with Pulmonary or Cystic Fibrosis patient population.
SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $104,421 - $137,578 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $50.01 - $65.89

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
