DESCRIPTION

Under direct supervision, responsible for greeting and initial assistance to customers; answering telephones and directing calls; operating cash register, handling customer payment transactions and preparing daily deposit. Responsibilities may include oversight of scheduling, training, and other duties as assigned

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
  • Two (2) years of related experience or education.

  • Experience in a medical or pharmacy environment i.e. Community Pharmacy setting, Specialty Pharmacy setting etc.

  • Proficient at computer entry of prescriptions, pharmacy insurance billing and navigating pharmacy and hospital computer systems.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite.

  • Have excellent communication skills with the ability to communicate clearly both verbally an in writing and be able to articulate complex ideas for all level of audiences.

  • Be a self-starter who is accountable and requires minimal direction and supervision; a person who is open to new idea; and creative and flexible individual who is comfortable working in a large, complex organization.

  • Posses the personal characteristics of professionalism, credibility, commitment to high standards, innovation, discriminating judgment and accountability.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
  • Cash handling experience.

  • Epic EMR/EHR.

  • Pharmacy Terminology/Calculations.

  • Willow Ambulatory.

  • Medical terminology.

  • Bilingual (Spanish speaking).

SPECIAL CONDITIONS
  • Must be able to work various hours and locations based on business needs.

  • Employment is subject to a criminal background check and pre-employment physical.

Pay Transparency Act

Annual Full Pay Range: $50,446 - $62,744 (will be prorated if the appointment percentage is less than 100%)

Hourly Equivalent: $24.16 - $30.05

Factors in determining the appropriate compensation for a role include experience, skills, knowledge, abilities, education, licensure and certifications, and other business and organizational needs. The Hiring Pay Scale referenced in the job posting is the budgeted salary or hourly range that the University reasonably expects to pay for this position. The Annual Full Pay Range may be broader than what the University anticipates to pay for this position, based on internal equity, budget, and collective bargaining agreements (when applicable).
