Summary of Position:

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Director of Executive Communications who will partner with our leaders to shape business narratives and thought leadership activities for external and internal audiences.

This individual will play a critical role as the lead communications partner for key executives, with a focus on the U.S. Group Health business.As a strategic thinker who effectively gets things done, this person proactively creates content, counsels executives, and collaborates with colleagues to develop and execute communications programs that achieve results.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Serve as communications liaison with key executives, cultivating relationships across the organization to develop strategic messaging and timely communication plans that advance business goals

  • Lead the strategy and development of external thought leadership activities for key executives, working closely with communications colleagues to evaluate, manage and coordinate external speaking engagements and develop thought leadership

  • Lead strategy, messaging, executive preparation and execution for town halls, on the enterprise and USGH business unit level

  • Shape business narrative for external and internal audiences, developing compelling content across multiple channels (e.g. executive social media, internal leadership blogs)

  • Collaborate with cross-functional colleagues to mine for stories, data, and proof points

  • Monitor market and industry trends, providing insights and recommendations to senior leadership to inform communication strategies and messaging

  • Manage issues and crisis communication when required, including developing communication protocols, preparing leadership messages, and coordinating responses to build trust with external stakeholders and employees

Qualifications Required for Position:
  • Bachelor's degree in communications or a related field

  • Minimum of 8 years of experience in corporate communications, with a focus on strategic communications planning and execution within the healthcare industry

  • Strong writing and editing skills, with the ability to craft clear, compelling messages for a variety of audiences and channels (writing samples required at time of interview)

  • Experience preparing executives for effective speaking engagements, including internal town halls and external industry panels and presentations

Additional Qualifications:
  • Intellectually curious, proactive, strategic thinker with strong judgement and the ability to analyze complex issues

  • Exceptional interpersonal and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively communicate with senior executives, stakeholders, and external partners

  • Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines effectively

  • Knowledge of emerging trends and best practices in communications, including AI, digital media, employee communications, social media, PR

The base salary range for this position is$160,000 - $170,000. In addition to a base salary, this position is eligible for a performance bonus and benefits (subject to eligibility requirements) listed here: Teladoc Health Benefits 2026.Total compensation is based on several factors including, but not limited to, type of position, location, education level, work experience, and certifications.This information is applicable for all full-time positions.

We follow a Flexible Vacation Policy, intended for rest, relaxation, and personal time. All time off must be approved by your manager prior to use. You will also receive 80 hours of Paid Sick, Safe, and Caregiver Leave annually. This applies to full-time positions only.
