The Commercial Banking Team Leader oversees a team focused on business development, portfolio management, and relationship growth within the Commercial / Corporate Banking segment. This role drives new client acquisition, ensures strong credit quality, and deepens relationships through comprehensive banking solutions. You'll lead highimpact deals, develop talent, and help grow market presence across the region.

What you'll do:

  • Lead a commercial banking team focused on business development, portfolio management, and client relationship growth.
  • Drive new business by developing prospects, expanding relationships, and serving as deal team leader on complex opportunities.
  • Manage credit quality by ensuring all relationships comply with credit policy, risk standards, and regulatory requirements.
  • Develop client relationships by analyzing financials, structuring credit solutions, and providing proactive financial advice.
  • Coach and evaluate team performance through goal setting, ongoing feedback, and professional development.
  • Expand share of wallet by crossselling Treasury Management, Private Banking, Wealth, International, and other banking services.
  • Represent Associated Bank in community and business organizations to strengthen market visibility and reputation.

What you'll bring:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Accounting, or equivalent experience
  • 7+ years of experience in Commercial, Corporate, or Commercial Real Estate Banking
  • 2+ years of people management experience, preferably leading a team of 5+

Preferred

  • 7+ years of demonstrated success achieving portfolio quality and new business development goals
