Your Tasks
- Support product safety evaluations and testing activities for electrical and electronic products to applicable national and international standards.
- Perform routine electrical safety testing including input, leakage current, dielectric strength, temperature, abnormal operation, stability, mechanical, and flammability testing.
- Assist with product assessments and component evaluations at client or TUV SUD sites in accordance with standards such as EN/IEC/UL 62368-1, 61010-1, 60335-1, and related standards.
- Review technical documentation, schematics, BOMs, manuals, and construction details to support compliance investigations.
- Prepare and maintain accurate test data, engineering notes, and technical reports under supervision of senior engineers.
- Communicate project status, technical findings, and testing requirements with clients and internal project teams.
- Support laboratory operations including calibration coordination, test setup preparation, equipment maintenance, and ISO/IEC 17025 quality requirements.
- Participate in training and development activities related to product safety standards, testing methodologies, and certification processes.
- Collaborate with senior engineers on new technologies including consumer electronics, laboratory equipment, industrial equipment, EV charging systems, and energy storage products.
Your Qualifications
- Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering, Electronics Engineering, or related technical discipline preferred.
- 2-5 years of experience in electrical product safety testing, compliance engineering, or related laboratory environments.
- Working knowledge of electrical product safety standards such as IEC/UL 62368-1, 61010-1, 60335-1, or similar standards.
- Experience using common laboratory instrumentation including oscilloscopes, power analyzers, hipot testers, leakage current testers, environmental chambers, and multimeters.
- Basic understanding of certification processes for NRTL, CE, CB Scheme, or international approvals.
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills with attention to detail.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines in a fast-paced laboratory environment.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word, Excel, and technical reporting tools.

Additional Information
The anticipated base pay range for this full-time position is $60,000 - 95,000. Actual base pay will be determined based on various factors, including years of relevant experience, training, qualifications, and internal equity. Additionally, we offer a comprehensive benefits package to employees, including a 401(k) plan with employer match, up to 12 weeks of paid parental leave for birthing parents and 2 weeks for other parents, health plans (medical, dental, and vision), life insurance and disability, and generous paid time off.
- Occasional travel required to client or TUV SUD sites.
- Physical requirements: ability to lift/move up to 50 pounds occasionally; ability to stand, sit, and perform laboratory testing activities for extended periods.
