The Role Government Executive is seeking a Senior Reporter to join our newsroom covering the federal workforce, agency leadership and Congress. You will report on federal agency operations and management, with a focus on agencies such as the departments of Homeland Security, Treasury, State and Veterans Affairs, and the Social Security Administration, as well as how White House decisions impact career federal employees. You will also cover key developments on Capitol Hill, including oversight hearings, government shutdowns, funding and policy debates and legislation shaping federal agencies and the workforce. This position reports directly to the Executive Editor. This role can accommodate remote or hybrid work, but candidates must be based in the Washington, D.C., area. Our Ideal candidate is:
