What to Expect

Tesla is seeking a highly motivated, detail-oriented, and customer-focused individual to join our dynamic Leave of Absence Team. The LeaveCoordinator will be responsible for supporting with specific functions aligning with leave administration, supporting assigned vendor relationships, participating in strategic and innovation sessions, owning and driving process improvement, and assisting with denied leaves and other project based work as needed.


What You'll Do
  • Assist with administration ofday-to-day function of leaves such as eligibility status, completion of state disability forms, denied leave of absences, and return to work
  • Be the front line to answer questions regarding leave policies, processes, and leave status in person and via email or chat
  • Provide administrative support using several Tesla or other vendor software systems to ensure accurate data and completion of inquiries from employees and other stakeholders
  • Preserves confidentiality of employee records and medical documentation
  • Maintains knowledge of all company policies and applicable leave laws including the FMLA, ADA, USERRA, Pregnancy Discrimination Act, and state and local laws
  • Build strong cross-functional relationships with key stakeholder groups, such as Payroll, HR, Workplace Health, ADA, as well as employees and managers

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent in relevant work experience
  • Minimum 1year of experience in benefits, human resources, or leave of Absence administration
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to work with ambiguity, in a frequently changing, fast-paced environment
  • Ability to prioritize work and execute multiple projects and tasks in parallel
  • Proven ability to communicate effectively, both verbally and in writing
  • Proven experience in all Microsoft Office applications, specifically Excel, SharePoint, PowerPoint and Word
