Position Summary
The Associate Director of Operations provides key support for Graduate Student Services. This position will collaborate on the development and continuous improvement of GradSlate tools that support functional processes associated with graduate student application, admission, enrollment, and student success. The position also assists with providing training and support in GradSlate applications to Graduate School staff and department users as needed. The position will also provide day-to-day support of operations in graduate admissions and enrolled student services, acting as liaison between the Director and the admissions/enrolled student services counselor staff.

Experience with Slate, Knowledge of Graduate Admission policies, and great communication skills.

Duties/Responsibilities

  • Provide collaborative leadership in GradSlate development for both graduate admissions and enrolled student services.
  • This includes continuing to build and enhance GradSlate: query building, form building, source format building, managing checklist rules, designing communications, updating organizations dataset, approval workflow design, and data integrity.

  • Oversee the daily operations of Graduate Admissions office, including application processing, transcript and test score management, and decision release.
  • This will also involve the analysis and improvement of GradSlate tools in support of these operations

  • Oversee the daily operations of Enrolled Student Services office, including administration of all milestones of progress through students' graduate program, leading to graduation.
  • This will also involve the analysis and improvement of GradSlate tools for enrolled student processing and student success.

  • Run various queries/reports in GradSlate to ensure efficient processing and data accuracy.
  • This will include a number of data curation queries designed to identify data discrepancies and a lack of synchronization with the SIS Banner.

  • This will include design and revision of application data files, document files, and decision files for GradSlate import.
