SUMMARY: The Manager of Outreach & Engagement is responsible for providing clinical and administrative support to Gateway's services to engage potential clients in treatment. The Manager oversees staff across Gateway's three regions who provide outreach and engagement services and represents Gateway in external outreach and marketing events. The Manager assesses barriers to treatment within communities served and implements targeted outreach to decrease those barriers. In addition, the Manager oversees and assesses the effectiveness of outreach and engagement efforts to connect potential clients to treatment and/or support services. PRINCIPAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES: Brown University Health employees are expected to successfully role model the organization's values of Compassion, Accountability, Respect, and Excellence as these guide our everyday actions with patients, customers and one another. Hires, orients, trains, and evaluates outreach staff roles, including Family & Community Care Coordinators, Veterans Navigators, community-based Clinicians, and other roles as assigned. Travels between Gateway regions as appropriate to supervise staff and manage program. Provides appropriate group and individual supervision to direct reports, as defined by state regulation and professional best practice. Maintains and actively applies knowledge of community-level strengths and needs throughout Gateway regions, leveraging Community Needs Assessments and relationships with community partners. Identifies outreach opportunities and works with staff to develop and implement outreach activities. Coaches staff in best practices in outreach and engagement, including motivational interviewing, application of the transtheoretical stages of change, external marketing, and community organizing. Utilizes and enforces effective staff usage of tracking system for outreach and engagement activities. Builds and maintains referral relationships with community agencies, including attending appropriate community work groups, and executing Care Coordination agreements. Assists Directors in completion of Community Needs Assessments as required by CCBHC. Utilizes data to assess effectiveness of outreach and engagement and makes data-driven decisions to increase treatment utilization. Guides the development of and training in strategies for engaging individuals in treatment. Enhances professional expertise through educational activities and trainings. Follows agency policies and standards for client rights and confidentiality. Performs other duties as assigned. EDUCATION: Master's degree in a clinical field (mental health, social work, marriage/family therapy). LMHC, LICSW, LMFT or ability to obtain within 6 months of hire. EXPERIENCE: At least 2 years experience working with in a behavioral health or human service setting. Experience in developing and/or coordinating programs.
