Requisition Id16434 Overview: The Nuclear Nonproliferation Division (NND) at Oak Ridge National Laboratory (ORNL) is a leader in research, development, and deployment of technology that enhances nuclear nonproliferation and safeguards, reduces threats to nuclear material at risk, and expands the national capabilities in radiation detection and nuclear forensics. The NND Nonproliferation Safeguards and Treaty Verification Section provides direct R&D and technical support to the DOE and its National Nuclear Security Administration (NNSA) in efforts to control and reverse the international proliferation of nuclear, chemical, biological, and missile (NCBM) technologies and programs that may support weapons research, development, and/or production. Our Section has a broad focus on technologies spanning the range of NCBM technologies; we are seeking a part-time casual, senior nonproliferation technical staff member to aid in these efforts on an on-call basis.
