The Rutgers Division of Intercollegiate Athletics sponsors 24 intercollegiate sports, comprised of 14 women's and 10 men's programs, that compete at the Division I level. The Scarlet Knights are members of the prestigious Big Ten Conference, the nation's premier academic and athletic conference, after officially joining the league on July 1, 2014. Known as "The Birthplace of College Football, Rutgers hosted Princeton on Nov. 6, 1869 in the first intercollegiate football game, with RU earning a 6-4 victory. |

- Assists in the coordination of a Women's Field Hockey intercollegiate athletic program which provides an opportunity for student-athletes to train and compete on a competitive, Division I women's field hockey program while attending school to earn a college degree.

Qualifications
| Minimum Education and Experience |
- Bachelor's degree and/or extensive coaching experience.
|
| Certifications/Licenses |
- Coaching certifications gained through USA Field Hockey and/or FIH (International Hockey Federation).
- A valid driver's license would be required for this position.
|
| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Experience in talent identification for purpose of recruiting elite student-athletes to the field hockey program.
- Ability to establish relationships domestically and internationally to identify and recruit elite student-athletes.
- Ability to session plan for short and long-term development.
- Proven success with elite teams, either as assistant or head coach.
- Ability to communicate with student-athletes, staff and the media.
- Ability to assist in planning and arranging travel for field hockey team, within budgetary constraints.
- Knowledge of NCAA regulations relative to proper rules of play in the sport of field hockey.

| Preferred Qualifications |
- Masters degree or equivalent in sports/coaching-related field.
- International and/or collegiate field hockey coaching and competition experience.
- Knowledge of the Big Ten Conferences and NCAA regulations.
- Coaching at the international level.
- Coaching qualifications from national and international governing bodies, including FIH.
