The Mail Processing Clerk is responsible for operating all mail room equipment and making sure that all outgoing and incoming mail is processed correctly and in a timely manner for pickup and deliveries.

Responsibilities of Position:



  • Meet all department deadlines - Meter mail, printing corporate invoices, and preparing in/outbound mail for pickup & delivery
  • Operate all mail room equipment (i.e., printers, mail machine, envelope opener) and ensure that they are maintained and kept in good working order
  • Answer phone calls and validate shipment deliveries
  • Place service calls on all mail room equipment
  • Ensure all documents for each invoice job have been printed and print quality meets company standards
  • Order mail room supplies and maintain their inventory
  • Report meter machine usage to management for end-of-month inter-company billing
  • Ensure all inter-company mail has been sorted and prepared for pickup
  • Back up for front reception desk
  • Stock paper at locations throughout office
  • Perform all tasks in a safe manner in compliance with all company policies
  • Copy and collate projects (New hire folders,etc)
  • Maintain order in loading dock
  • Perform other duties as assigned



Supervisory Responsibility:



  • This position will not manage employees

Experience & Knowledge Needed for Position:



  • Knowledge of Microsoft 365 (Office) applications a plus. (Word, Outlook, Teams, Excel)
  • General knowledge of office functions



Physical Requirements in a Regular Workday:



  • Frequently lifting/carrying a max of 10 lbs
  • Occasionally lifting/carrying a max of 35 lbs
  • Rarely lifting/carrying a max of 75 lbs
  • Frequently pushing/pulling a max of 10 lbs
  • Rarely pushing/pulling a max of 100 lbs
  • Rarely working outside
  • Rarely working in areas of dust, odors, mist, gases, and other airborne matter
  • Rarely stooping/kneeling/crouching/crawling
  • Rarely climbing and/or balancing
  • Frequently sitting/standing/walking



Additional Working Conditions/Aspects:



  • Legally eligible to work in the United States
  • Valid driver's license (if applicable)
  • Must successfully complete pre-employment testing
  • Must be able to read and speak the English language
