Location: Remote, US
About the Role
As a Senior Product UX Designer on Hyland's growing next-gen platform team, you'll shape the Content Innovation Cloud (CIC) - designing experiences that define how AI workflows are built, managed, deployed, and governed. This role blends expert strengths in usability and visual design to translate complex AI capabilities into intuitive, configurable experiences that administrators can seamlessly leverage within their business software solutions.
Your Role Responsibilities - Here's What You'll Do
    Build the user interfaces that customers use to manage the agent lifecycle from build to audit
  • Partner with your research partner to translate user insights and customer needs into design concepts, journeys, and prototypes
  • Drive complex design projects through complete product lifecycles, connecting experiences across the product portfolio
  • Proactively identify opportunities for greater cohesion and create patterns and systems that scale across teams and products
  • Collaborate with senior leadership, product managers, and engineers to influence product vision and strategy
  • Provide annotated design specifications and documentation that detail interaction behaviors and acceptance criteria for developers

Role Essentials - What You'll Need to Succeed
  • Demonstrated experience designing AI configuration and agent management experiences
  • Strong visual design acumen with flawless UI and microcopy writing skills
  • Excellent UX storytelling with a professional portfolio demonstrating both pragmatic and creative thinking, including the ability to work within constraints
  • Proven delivery of products meeting WCAG 2.2 AA accessibility criteria, including responsive reflow and mobile considerations
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with developers, product owners, and senior leadership in defining and designing product vision and strategy
What We'd Like to See - Preferred Skills
  • Experience in both enterprise software and consumer-grade experience design
  • Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
  • Experience leading design activities within an Agile product delivery methodology
  • Experience working across teams to integrate feedback from diverse stakeholders, including product managers, engineers, customers, and executives
  • Ability to introduce new design approaches and methods that drive positive outcomes
Pay Transparency Statement
The salary range for this role is $130,000 - $145,000. The listed salary range represents a good faith estimate at the time of posting. The listed range may be adjusted in the future based on business needs. Actual compensation will be based on job-related factors including, but not limited to, qualifications, skills, and experience.

Basic Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
  • Professional portfolio that demonstrates both pragmatic and creative thinking including the ability to work within constraints, shifting schedules and priorities
  • Proficiency with industry-standard design and prototyping tools
  • Proven experience creating high-quality and effective design artifacts including concepts, journeys, storyboards, user flows, wireframes and prototypes
  • Experience with responsive, mobile and product design
  • Experience integrating user research into product designs and design practices
  • Demonstrated success collaborating with developers and product owners in defining and designing digital products and experiences
  • Experience working across teams to integrate feedback and input from diverse stakeholders (product managers, engineers, customers, and other stakeholders)
  • Experience leading one or more designers in projects that span the complete product design and development lifecycle
  • Experience leading design activities within an Agile product delivery methodology
  • Design strategy and thought leadership experience
  • Strong oral and written communications skills that demonstrate a professional demeanor and the ability to interact with others with discretion and tact
  • Strong organizational, multi-tasking, and time management skills
  • Strong communication and collaboration skills, applied successfully within team as well as with all levels of employees in other areas and with customers
  • Strong critical thinking and problem solving skills
  • Strong leadership, sound judgement, and business acumen skills
  • Ability to work in a multi-disciplinary, collaborative team environment
  • Ability to work efficiently and independently on one or more projects, often with ambiguity, constraints of time and scope, and technical complexity
  • Ability to support work verbally and visually with design rationale, data and/or user research
  • Ability to introduce new design approaches and methods that drive positive outcomes (efficiency, speed to market, innovation, etc.)
  • Ability to provide guidance and support to developing team members
  • Up to 20% travel time required
