Job Summary

Under the general direction and guidance of the Principal Investigator, the Research Assistant will work closely with the mPIs to ensure the smooth running of day-to-day operations of the overall project.

Essential Functions

Assist with the collection and processing of all experimental data of motion capture, dynamometry, indirect calorimetry and MRI data.

Be responsible for the maintenance of analysis pipelines and custom programs in this project.

Manage all screening and scheduling.

Manage on-site interactions and management of volunteers.

Manage data archiving and project record-keeping.

Manage tracking and updating of all human subjects and Responsible Conduct of Research training.

Other Functions

Performs other duties as assigned.

Minimum Qualifications

B.S in Kinesiology, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (verbal and written).

Proficient in motion analysis, electromyography and metabolic cost measures.

Knowledge of basic MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and basic applications.

Experience with writing and managing IRB protocols (preferred) and conducting human subject's research.

Excellent organization skills.

Ability to prioritize and complete multiple tasks.

Eligible to work in the US.

Preferred Qualifications

MS in Kinesiology, Biomedical or Mechanical Engineering or related field.

Proficient in MatLab or similar programming language and motion analysis software packages such as Visual 3D or similar preferred but not required.

Working Conditions

Work is performed in a standard office or indoor university environment and involves minimal physical exertion.

Work Schedule and Work Arrangement

Monday through Friday, up to 40 hours per week.

Salary Information

Hourly Rate:26
