Facilities Maintenance Technician

Job description:

The following is a list of essential functions, which may be subject to change at any time and without advance notice. Management may assign new duties, reassign existing duties, or eliminate a function.

  • Serve as Primary for pick up, delivery, collection, and return of Courier Bags that are prepared by both the Facilities Department Personnel and Bank Branch Personnel.
  • Serve as Primary to daily process USPS mail by picking up, packing, unpacking, sorting and dropping off at Post Office
  • Serve as Primary contact to prepare, sort, and distribute inter-office mail.
  • Deliver supplies that are requested by Bank Personnel and prepared for delivery by the Facilities Department Personnel.
  • Completion of courier and supply runs in a timely, safe and efficient manner.
  • Provide routine property maintenance and repairs bank wide as directed.
  • Work with Facilities Coordinator to order building and office supplies for Perkasie Admin.
  • Keep departmental supply area stocked and in order.
  • Complete tasks assigned by Facility Help Desk as required.
  • Perform limited electrical maintenance, including but not limited to replacement or repair of fixtures (e.g. wall switches and outlets, incandescent and fluorescent bulbs and tubes, ballast, sockets, fuses, minor appliances, cords, etc.) using appropriate hand, power, and specialty tools.
  • Perform limited plumbing maintenance (e.g. replacement or repair of leaks in drains and faucets, unclogging of drains, trenching and laying new lines, replacing drain hoses on washers and similar devices, etc.).
  • Perform limited painting, carpentry and masonry work (e.g. preparing surfaces and using brush, sprayer, or roller to apply paints, stains, and varnishes, hanging doors, fitting locks and handles, etc.).
  • Reconfigure, install, position, and remount modular offices and space (e.g. furniture, wall panels, work surfaces, storage bins, lighting, file cabinets, etc.) to accommodate user needs and maximize office space using various hand, power, and specialty tools, dollies, and hand trucks.
  • Prepare the surfaces and paint various structures and equipment (e.g. walls, refrigerators, evaporative coolers, floors, roofs, doors, restroom facilities, etc.) to preserve wood and metal parts from corrosion and maintain a safe, comfortable working environment using various painting equipment and relation tools (e.g. sprayers, rollers, brushes, thinners, etc.).
  • Clean rooms, hallways, lobbies, lounges, restrooms, corridors, elevators, stairways, parking lots, and other work areas as needed to ensure appropriate physical appearance and safety standards.
  • Other duties as directed or assigned.
  • Assist Senior Facilities Maintenance Technician with projects as needed.

  • Comply with all applicable regulations and Bank policies regarding employment and employment law.
  • Participate in annual compliance and other job-related training.
  • Comply with applicable bank regulations, Bank policies and procedures.
  • Comply with Bank's internal privacy and ethics standards.

Relationships and Contacts

Internal: Reports to Director of Building Operations and Planning; Frequent contact with various Team Members throughout the organization.

External: Contact with vendors and contractors as needed.

Education and Experience

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • 1-2 years' experience in facility maintenance preferred.
  • Knowledge of property maintenance best practices
  • Basic understanding of electrical, plumbing, and carpentry

Skills and Competencies

  • Ability to drive, with a valid license, all types of cars, vans, and small trucks.
  • Ability to operate all types of machinery
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Must be customer service oriented.
  • Ability to evaluate objectively, fairly, and consistently.
  • Ability to use common tools.
  • Ability to understand and follow directions as given.
  • Ability to work with minimal supervision.

Working Conditions

Traditional office environment with frequent travel required; the office maintains five day a week operation (Monday - Friday) with operational hours of 8:00am - 5:00pm (or upon manager agreed schedule of hours). Be available to work flexible hours on evenings and weekends as needed.
