| Posting Summary |
Rutgers School of Nursing located in Newark, NJ is seeking a highly motivated Postdoctoral Associate to join our Nursing Science research team. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to cutting-edge research in the development of clinical trials, self-management science, acute/chronic disease management and pain mechanisms and methods under the mentorship of renowned faculty. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to advance their research skills, engage in interdisciplinary collaborations, and contribute to the development of impactful nursing science initiatives.
Duties include:
- Research Activities: Lead and/or collaborate on innovative research projects in nursingscience, specifically in biopsychosocial aspects of mental health, acute/chronic and pain relatedconditions, including sickle cell disease.
- Data Collection & Analysis: Design and implement data collection strategies, includingqualitative and quantitative methods, surveys, interviews, and focus groups. Analyze data usingappropriate statistical or thematic analysis methods.
- Dissemination of Findings: Present research findings at national and international conferences,workshops, and seminars. Prepare research reports, academic papers, and other scientificpublications.

| Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities |
- Ph.D. in Nursing from an accredited institution.
- Demonstrated experience in research methods, preferably with expertise in advanced statistics.
- RN experience in a U.S. healthcare system.
- Proficiency in both qualitative and quantitative research methods. Experience with data analysis software (e.g., SPSS, R, NVivo) is highly desirable.
- Evidence of scholarly productivity, including publications in peer-reviewed journals.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to write research papers, grant applications, and present to diverse audiences.
- Ability to work effectively in an interdisciplinary research environment, with a strong focus on teamwork and collaboration.
- Excellent organizational skills and the ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines.
- Current RN license or eligibility for licensure in New Jersey.
