Principal Content Strategist

Adobe Inc.
United States, California, San Francisco
May 11, 2026

We are seeking a Principal Content Strategist on the Community Marketing team to lead high-impact, community driven marketing content strategy and execution that fuels online sharing, creator conversations, and perception shifts across full-funnel, cross-platform campaigns. This senior-level individual contributor will own a defined portfolio of content focused on key product value propositions, real-world workflows, and use cases aligned to product and GTM priorities to drive meaningful conversations across target online communities.

Beyond campaign execution, this role will evolve and optimize the operating systems that power community content at scale. You will elevate the voice of the community into strategic decision-making, strengthen agency partnerships, and drive continuous improvement across how content is planned, produced, and measured.

You will act as both strategic architect and hands-on producer, shaping scalable content programs that deepen community engagement and translate content interaction into active product use.

What You'll Do

Portfolio & Strategic Ownership

  • Own a defined portfolio of community content workstreams aligned to business, product, and GTM priorities.
  • Translate strategic objectives and product value propositions into scalable full-funnel community marketing content that drives sharing, conversation, and perception shifts within key online creator communities.
  • Design community content programs that intentionally connect product workflows and value propositions to culturally relevant creator conversations.
  • Plan and implement cross-platform, always-on and launch campaigns that elevate key messages and drive measurable engagement and sentiment.
  • Represent community content strategy in cross-functional planning forums and influence narrative alignment across marketing teams.

Content Systems & Scale

  • Evaluate and evolve existing community content operating frameworks to increase velocity, scalability, and clarity across campaigns.
  • Standardize and modernize briefing processes for creators and community members to support higher-volume output.
  • Develop and refine playbooks, templates, and workflow systems adopted across community marketing.
  • Drive continuous improvement in production workflows, finding opportunities to increase efficiency and quality.
  • Lead and optimize relationships with external agency partners (paid amplification and video production), defining scopes of work and performance expectations to improve throughput and impact.

Voice of the Community & Strategic Influence

  • Establish structured feedback loops that synthesize creator and community sentiment across campaigns on a weekly basis.
  • Translate qualitative insights and performance data into actionable recommendations that influence messaging, positioning, and GTM priorities.
  • Serve as a strategic connector between community signals and broader marketing decision-making.
  • Elevate the voice of the community to inform messaging, positioning, and marketing narratives that resonate within target online communities.

Performance & Optimization

  • Define Key performance and success metrics across awareness, engagement, and product usage stages.
  • Drive paid media campaigns, manage agency relationship, and leverage findings to inform future optimizations.
  • Analyze quantitative and qualitative performance data to optimize campaign and content effectiveness.
  • Drive measurable improvements in engagement, sentiment, and product adoption through structured testing and iteration.
  • Strengthen insight into content performance through standardized reporting frameworks.

What You'll Need to Succeed

  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, integrated content strategy, community marketing, or media strategy for creators or artists.
  • Strong understanding of how online communities, platform algorithms, and content formats influence sharing behavior and conversation dynamics.
  • Proven success owning full-funnel content portfolios tied to measurable engagement outcomes.
  • Demonstrated experience scaling high-volume content programs within complex, matrixed organizations.
  • Experience evolving content systems, workflows, and operational frameworks to increase output and efficiency.
  • Strong track record managing agency partners and improving performance and production output.
  • Expertise in using community driven content to inspire action and deepen product engagement.
  • Deep understanding of creator ecosystems, platforms, and authentic community storytelling.
  • Ability to operate independently at senior altitude, influence collaborators, and drive initiatives cross-functionally.
  • BA/BS Degree preferred OR 10 years of marketing experience OR equivalent practical experience.
