Overview
We are seeking a highly experienced Business Operations Manager to support a large-scale, global brand initiative tied to a major international event. This role will be instrumental in translating strategy into execution, driving alignment across cross-functional teams, and ensuring seamless delivery of high-visibility projects. You will work at the center of a fast-paced, highly matrixed organization, partnering with teams across brand, marketing, product, partnerships, and regional markets. This role requires a strong operator who thrives in ambiguity, brings structure to complex initiatives, and can effectively engage with both internal and external stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead end-to-end execution of complex, cross-functional initiatives from planning through delivery
- Build and manage integrated workplans with clear priorities, milestones, ownership, and success metrics
- Drive alignment across teams including brand, marketing, product, partnerships, and regional stakeholders
- Establish scalable processes, tools, and ways of working to enable efficient execution
- Identify risks, dependencies, and bottlenecks early, and implement mitigation strategies
- Facilitate decision-making by clarifying roles, responsibilities, and next steps
- Communicate progress, insights, and recommendations to senior leadership
- Coordinate with external partners, agencies, and stakeholders to ensure seamless collaboration
- Support budget tracking and vendor coordination as needed
Required Qualifications
- 8+ years of experience in business operations, program management, or related roles
- Proven ability to lead complex initiatives in a global, matrixed organization
- Strong project and program management skills, including planning, risk management, and execution tracking
- Demonstrated ability to operate effectively in ambiguous, fast-moving environments
- Exceptional communication and stakeholder management skills
- Experience working cross-functionally with both business and technical teams
- Advanced proficiency in Excel (or similar tools) and presentation development (PowerPoint, Keynote, or equivalent)
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience supporting global brand initiatives, campaigns, or large-scale events
- Background in consumer brands, sports, entertainment, or media environments
- Experience working with external partners, talent, or agencies
- Familiarity with budget tracking and vendor management
- Experience in large, highly matrixed organizations
Tools & Technologies
Experience with project management and collaboration tools such as Asana, Jira, Smartsheet, or similar platforms is a plus. Familiarity with shared document platforms and communication tools is expected.
