The Global Sales Compensation Operations team is a multidisciplinary group dedicated to finding ways to optimize the design, execution and review of our sales compensation programs. We bridge the gap between complex data and actionable insights to drive better leadership decisions faster that will ensure we maximize Cisco's investment in sales compensation programs. Your Impact As a Data and Analytics Leader, you will manage a team of Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Tableau Developers. You will be responsible for ensuring that the Sales Leadership have access to the data, analytics and insights they need, turning complex data into executive-ready insights, building visualizations that bring the data to life and developing AI workflows to help our leaders make better compensation decisions faster. * Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of Data Analysts, Data Engineers, and Tableau Developers, encouraging a culture of innovation, teamwork, and continuous learning. * Collaborate with team members across Sales, Finance, HR, IT, and global regions to gather, document, and prioritize compensation reporting and analytics requirements. * Oversee the design and automation of compensation dashboards using advanced data science techniques, including predictive modeling, statistical analysis, and machine learning. * Synthesize complex analytics into clear, executive-ready insights and recommendations that directly inform and drive leadership decisions on compensation strategy and program improvements. * Drive user adoption, cross-functional alignment, and process automation to reduce manual effort, improve reporting efficiency, and ensure high data quality and accuracy. Minimum Qualifications: * 5+ years of proven experience leading and developing teams in data analytics, engineering, or business intelligence. * Deep expertise in compensation analytics, business intelligence, and data science techniques (e.g., predictive modeling, statistical analysis, machine learning). * Demonstrated success in gathering, documenting, and prioritizing business requirements from diverse, geographically dispersed stakeholders. * 3+ years of hands-on experience with Tableau or similar BI/dashboard tools, including knowledge of data automation, ETL processes, and data quality best practices. * 3+ years of executive communication and stakeholder management skills with a track record of delivering executive-ready insights that drive leadership decisions. Preferred Qualifications: * Bachelor's or Master's degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, or a related field. * 10+ years of experience in compensation, sales operations, or HR analytics environments. * Familiarity with cloud data platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure) and SQL. * Tableau or relevant BI tool certifications. For non-sales roles, employees are also eligible to earn annual bonuses subject to Cisco's policies. Employees on sales plans earn performance-based incentive pay on top of their base salary, which is split between quota and non-quota components, subject to the applicable Cisco plan. For quota-based incentive pay, Cisco typically pays as follows:
For non-quota-based sales performance elements such as strategic sales objectives, Cisco may pay 0% up to 125% of target. Cisco sales plans do not have a minimum threshold of performance for sales incentive compensation to be paid. The applicable full salary ranges for this position, by specific state, are listed below: New York City Metro Area: $199,200.00 - $317,600.00Non-Metro New York state & Washington state: $179,900.00 - $291,700.00* For quota-based sales roles on Cisco's sales plan, the ranges provided in this posting include base pay and sales target incentive compensation combined. ** Employees in Illinois, whether exempt or non-exempt, will participate in a unique time off program to meet local requirements. | |
