PRIMARY FUNCTION StraitSys is looking for Business Analysts to join our successful and growing team to provide support services to support our FBI client. StraitSys is responsible for providing technical, managerial, and administrative advice concerning the functional area under study and recommending opportunities for cross-division collaboration. The ideal candidate is a highly analytical and detail-oriented business process expert who partners with leadership to drive enterprise-wide improvements by applying process reengineering methodologies, translating complex data into actionable insights, and effectively communicating and documenting requirements, all while leveraging tools like Excel, PowerPoint, and Visio to deliver measurable performance outcomes. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
- Analyze business and technical processes to develop and implement improved systems, workflows, and performance solutions
- Elicit, document, and translate stakeholder requirements into functional specifications and business cases for process and technology enhancements
- Perform process mapping, data analysis, and project management activities to support informed decision-making and successful project delivery
- Transform complex, multi-source data into clear, actionable insights using data visualization and reporting tools
- Facilitate workshops, interviews, and training sessions to support stakeholder engagement, knowledge transfer, and adoption of new processes and systems
SUPERVISORY RESPONSIBILITIES: N/A KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:
- Conduct data-driven analyses to identify key themes, issues, and actionable recommendations that improve organizational performance
- Identify trends, anomalies, and variances in data; investigate root causes and recommend targeted solutions
- Research and benchmark industry best practices to inform process improvements and establish performance standards
- Evaluate and measure the effectiveness of existing business processes to identify gaps and optimization opportunities
- Proficient skills in Microsoft Office with advanced skills in Excel, PowerPoint and Visio
- Assess and recommend technology solutions to enable and support business process reengineering initiatives
- Develop and deliver management and site-level reports to enhance risk awareness and support informed decision-making
- Conduct Change Management assessments and develop strategies to facilitate successful adoption of process and system improvements
- Ability to participate in multiple efforts simultaneously
QUALIFICATIONS:
- 5 years minimum of demonstrated experience in a Business Analyst role.
- BA/BS degree required.
- Accredited in Lean, Six Sigma, or other process improvement technologies
- Demonstrated facilitation skills and process-driven analytical skills
- Ability to participate on multiple efforts simultaneously
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Ability to communicate effectively with team members, stakeholders, and management on both the business and IT sides
- Software Skills: MS Visio, MS Excel, MS Power Point, MS Word, MS SharePoint, Atlassian
- Active Top Secret Clearance
PREFERRED SKILLS:
- Experience facilitating collaboration between business stakeholders and IT teams to translate requirements into technical solutions and ensure alignment
- Familiarity with collaboration and project management tools (e.g., Jira, Confluence, Teams) to support cross-functional communication and delivery
- Understanding of IT systems, data flows, and integration concepts to effectively support solution design, implementation, and user adoption
