Lumber Yard Administrative Assistant

872 - D/L Lumber Yard - LY-Lumber Adm. Asst.

Oversees a number of administrative functions that include inventory control, accounts payable and purchasing.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Assure accuracy of the lumber inventory of the Pine Valley Lumber Yard location.
• Oversee the processing of the lumber receiving, process for payment and entering into inventory.
• Track inventory of raw materials. Responsible for monthly and fiscal year numbers.
• Catalog the conversion of lumber and maintains perpetual inventory of lumber by yard location, Kiln location and storage location.
• Calculate the value of graded lumber and compare to invoice corrects in JD Edwards if error is found.
• Responsible for all export loads to Honduras, export bill of lading, export invoice and kiln dried certificate.
• Responsible for supply inventory accuracy to internal and external auditors

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Requires complex conceptual thinking.
• Ability to prioritize work schedule for effective time management
• Basic to Intermediate proficiency with computers and Microsoft Office applications.

Ability to create and understand reports in order to make production decisions

Compensation:

The hourly rate for this position ranges from $18.00 to $28.00 depending on experience.
