What You'll Do

The Senior Consultant serves as a key delivery lead for workforce planning and human capital analytics activities, supporting federal clients in assessing workforce capabilities and designing actionable solutions. This role is responsible for leading analytic workstreams, developing methodologies, and producing high-quality, client-ready deliverables that inform workforce strategy and organizational decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead execution of future workforce demand analyses, translating strategic initiatives into roles, skills, and capacity requirements.
  • Develop role-based frameworks, competency models, and skill taxonomies aligned to enterprise workforce planning needs.
  • Conduct current workforce supply and capability assessments, leveraging workforce data, assessments, and validation techniques.
  • Design and implement skills and competency assessments using IO psychology methodologies.
  • Perform workforce gap and scenario analyses, identifying capacity and skill shortfalls across multiple planning scenarios.
  • Translate workforce gaps into mission and operational risks to support leadership decision-making.
  • Develop human capital solutions and program recommendations, including reskilling, recruiting, and retention strategies.
  • Support creation of human capital roadmaps, incorporating change management and performance metrics.
  • Contribute to organizational alignment and enterprise engagement assessments.
  • Prepare executive-ready deliverables, including reports, presentations, and data visualizations.
  • Collaborate with Project Manager and junior staff to deliver work on time and within scope.
Requirements
  • Master's degree in Industrial-Organizational Psychology or closely related field.
  • 5-7 years of experience in workforce planning, human capital consulting, or analytics.
  • Experience conducting workforce demand modeling, supply assessments, and gap analyses.
  • Strong knowledge of competency modeling and workforce analytics techniques.
  • Ability to synthesize complex data into clear, actionable insights.
  • Experience producing client-ready deliverables for senior stakeholders.
  • Strong collaboration and communication skills.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience supporting federal government or IT organizations.
  • Familiarity with workforce risk, attrition analysis, and workforce metrics.
  • Ability to work in fast-paced consulting environments with multiple priorities.
