Finance Manager, West Coast Maritime - Lead Financial Strategy, Operational Insight & Business Performance at The Pasha Group

The Pasha Group is seeking a finance leader who knows how to turn numbers into action. As Finance Manager, West Coast Maritime, you will lead financial planning, forecasting, reporting, and operational analysis for a key maritime division.

In this high-impact role, you will serve as a trusted finance partner to operations leaders, corporate finance, procurement, and accounting teams. You will help drive accurate forecasting, strengthen financial controls, analyze performance trends, and identify opportunities to improve profitability and operational efficiency. Lead Financial Strategy, Planning & Business Performance

Own the financial insights that support smarter decisions and stronger results.

  • Lead Financial Forecasting: Manage and present accurate weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial projections with detailed variance analysis
  • Drive Budgeting & Planning: Lead planning, budgeting, and forecasting activities for the West Coast Maritime division
  • Deliver Business Insights: Partner with operational leaders to review KPIs, monitor performance, and identify improvement opportunities
  • Develop Financial Models: Build pricing analytics, profitability models, and scenario analyses for new and existing clients
  • Support Strategic Decisions: Perform ROI analysis and sensitivity modeling to support investment and operational decisions
  • Enhance Reporting Tools: Improve reporting processes, analytics, and financial platforms that support better visibility and decision-making

Drive Operational Finance, Controls & Process Excellence

Ensure financial accuracy, operational alignment, and strong business support across the division.

  • Support Month-End Close: Partner with finance, accounting, and operations teams to ensure accurate journal entries, accruals, and reporting
  • Oversee Financial Operations: Provide guidance and escalation support for billing, collections, accounts payable, payroll, cash management, and related activities
  • Partner with Procurement: Support cost-control efforts through RFP oversight, vendor evaluation, and cost-trend analysis
  • Maintain Financial Integrity: Track and communicate financial and operational metrics to support accurate reporting and business analysis
  • Improve Processes: Identify opportunities to streamline financial workflows, improve reporting efficiency, and strengthen operational controls
  • Lead Administrative Teams: Manage and support assigned union administrative employees in alignment with the collective bargaining agreement

Build Strong Business Partnerships & Operational Collaboration

Serve as a trusted financial partner who helps connect operational activity to business results.

  • Collaborate Cross-Functionally: Work closely with operations, procurement, accounting, finance, and leadership teams to support division goals
  • Apply Financial Perspective: Translate operational challenges into clear financial insights and practical recommendations
  • Influence Business Outcomes: Provide data-driven analysis that supports profitability, performance, and process improvement
  • Communicate Financial Performance: Present trends, forecasts, risks, and recommendations to business leaders
  • Support Organizational Growth: Adapt to changing priorities while maintaining financial discipline, accuracy, and operational alignment

What You Bring

You bring financial expertise, operational understanding, and strong business partnership skills.

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, or related field, or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of financial analysis, modeling, budgeting, and forecasting experience
  • Prior supervisory or leadership experience required
  • Strong understanding of financial and accounting principles, budgeting, forecasting, and financial modeling
  • Experience supporting billing, collections, accounting, and operational finance functions
  • Ability to extract, analyze, and interpret data from multiple systems and reporting sources
  • Intermediate Excel skills and proficiency with Microsoft Office applications

The salary range listed is based on the geographic zone associated with this role: Wilmington, CA. Starting pay will be determined by job-related factors including experience, education, and business needs and may be modified at any time.

Zone 2: $125,000 - $145,000

This job is also eligible for participation in an Incentive Plan with a target payout based on eligible compensation and corporate/individual performance goal attainment.
Annual Incentive Opportunity: 10% of eligible compensation
