Job Title: Imagery Scientist - SAR Senior

Location: DMV Area (Delivery location subject to final customer confirmation)

Clearance: Active TS/SCI Required
Polygraph: Must be willing to obtain or currently hold a CI Polygraph

Program Overview

This role supports NGA's Assurance and Governance Office (QA) Accreditation of AI Models (AGAIM) program under the GEO-SPI B-027 effort. The team supports Level 3 AI accreditation by identifying, acquiring, and preparing operational imagery datasets used to validate AI model performance against operational mission requirements. Candidates will provide SAR imagery expertise supporting exploitation, quality assessment, and operational imagery analysis efforts.

Key Responsibilities

  • Exploit and analyze SAR imagery to identify Objects of Interest (OOI)

  • Support operational imagery preparation and validation activities

  • Evaluate SAR imagery quality metrics and sensor metadata

  • Apply remote sensing and imagery processing principles to operational datasets

  • Support the development and improvement of SAR exploitation methodologies

  • Communicate SAR capabilities, limitations, and operational use cases to technical and non-technical stakeholders

  • Assist with imagery analysis efforts supporting AI model accreditation activities

Required Skills

Required Skills & Experience
4+ years of experience working with SAR imagery and exploitation
Strong understanding of SAR collection, phenomenology, image formation processes, and exploitation products
Experience with SAR imagery quality metrics and sensor metadata
Experience exploiting SAR imagery to determine the occurrence and location of Objects of Interest (OOI)
Understanding of remote sensing principles, imagery processing, and advanced exploitation methods
Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively to multiple audiences
