What to Expect

We're hiring a driven Compensation Analyst to design, deploy, and iterate our next-gen compensation program at Tesla. This role would collaborate with developers, business partners, and engineering leaders to ensure the company's compensation program is custom-built to attract and retain the world's best talent. The ideal candidate will possess the curiosity to solve difficult problems and the talent to bring solutions to reality. As a key member of the team, this person would be responsible for building and analyzing datasets across internal and external populations, deriving new understandings of trends, and leveraging this knowledge to create new pay programs for employees throughout the company.


What You'll Do
  • Apply a product-centric approach to data and reporting that creates a robust framework to deploy compensation programming across the company
  • Design, build, and maintain data models to ensure data quality, consistency, and accessibility for analysis
  • Collect, analyze, and present data from the system when provided a subset of potentially unrelated data points/filters to draw conclusions
  • Effectively communicate data analysis to stakeholders to create programs and drivedecisions
  • Own the development of Tesla's data, reporting, and analytics platforms with business and engineering teams
  • Ensure successful integration with downstream systems and accurate reporting to stakeholders

What You'll Bring
  • Bachelor's Degree in Data Analytics, Data Science, Statistics, or equivalent experience
  • Prior relational database experience
  • Proficiency in SQL and other common query languages
  • Experience with a statically typed language such as Golang or a dynamically typed language such as Python
  • Experience with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, etc.)
  • Critical thinking and a first principles approach to problem solving

    Expected Compensation
    $69,600 - $204,000/annual salary + cash and stock awards + benefits

    Pay offered may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. The total compensation package for this position may also include other elements dependent on the position offered. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment.
