The compensation offered to the candidate selected for the position will depend on several factors, including the candidate's educational background, skills and professional experience. Summary of Job Function Reporting to the Assistant Vice President of IT Administration, the Business Analyst role is critical in ensuring that financial systems, processes, and reporting solutions align with both Information Technology (IT) requirements and organizational goals. The Business Analyst will partner within IT and with Finance and operations teams to deliver technology-enabled financial insights that improve IT efficiency, patient care, security, and compliance. The Business Analyst will use system applications for tracking, analyzing, and developing reports, are responsible for running reports in a timely, efficient and accurate manner. This role develops a deep understanding of the supported business process, building strong relationships with stakeholders, and delivering value, working with complex datasets to investigate key business trends, performance, issues, and behaviors, Education/Experience Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Healthcare Administration, Information Systems, or related field (Master s preferred), 3 5 years of experience as a Business Analyst, ideally within IT Finance in healthcare organizations, Experience with Microsoft Office applications, Advanced knowledge of Excel functions, Must have extensive experience with pivot tables, VLOOKUP and similar functions, graphs, projections, forecasting, Strong understanding of healthcare financial processes (i,e,cost accounting, budgeting), Experience with ERP systems (i,e,Oracle, Strata) and familiarity with Business Intelligence tools (i,e,Tableau) Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and documentation skills, Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities, Knowledge of project management methodologies (Agile, Waterfall) is a plus, Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and motivate cross-functional teams, Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities, with attention to detail and a focus anaging competing priorities and deadlines, Ability to thrive in ambiguity and adapt quickly to changing circumstances and requirements, Position Responsibilities Requirements Gathering & Business Analysis o Collaborate with IT and business stakeholders to understand business processes such as budgeting, cost allocation, and capital planning o Document functional and technical requirements for IT Administration solutions, ensuring alignment with healthcare compliance standards o Conduct gap analysis between current systems and desired outcomesAnalysis & Insight o Provide variance analysis between proposed budgets and historical actuals, o Highlight cost drivers, revenue risks, and efficiency opportunities, o Develop dashboards and reports to visualize budget allocations across departments, Project Management Support o Develop project plans, timelines, and resource allocation strategies for IT Administration initiatives, o Track project progress against milestones, deliverables, and KPIs, and provide regular status updates and reports to stakeholders and senior management, o Facilitate communication between business teams, IT, and IT Administration to align project execution with business goals, o Ensure that project deliverables meet quality standards and customer expectations, conducting reviews, audits, and evaluations as needed, Stakeholder Communication o Act as a liaison between IT, business operations, and external vendors, o Translate technical concepts into business-friendly language for IT and business stakeholders, o Prepare presentations, reports, and documentation to support leadership decision-making, Data & Reporting o Support financial data governance, ensuring accuracy, consistency, and compliance with healthcare regulations, o Develop and maintain dashboards, KPIs, and financial reports tailored to healthcare operations (e,g, patient revenue, payer mix, cost per procedure), o Provide ad-hoc analysis to support finance leadership in evaluating healthcare service line profitability and efficiency, Perform other duties as assigned Other Duties: Please note this job description is not designed to cover or contain a comprehensive listing of activities, duties or responsibilities that are required of the employee for this job.
