Year-Round Finance-Intern, Global Transactional Systems

The Sherwin-Williams Finance internship is designed to provide you with hands-on experience in the Sherwin Business Services (SBS) Global Transactional Systems Team.

The internship features hands on financial systems administration experience, where you'll develop a basic understanding of business processes: Source-to-Contract, Procure-to-Pay, and Travel Expense while supporting the finance applications associated with each, such as Coupa, Concur and Sirion. You'll gain meaningful exposure to a disciplined process utilizing Agile and more traditional methodologies that assists with financial process improvement definition, user adoption techniques, and support of internal customers in general Q&A and how to use finance applications.

This role will be a year-round, remote position which requires availability to work a minimum of 15 hours and maximum of 28 hours per week during the school year and maximum of 37.5 hours during the summer, with the ability to work at least one (1) year.

Because this role involves access to confidential financial information, the Company has determined that a review of criminal history is necessary to protect the business and its operations and reputation and to provide similar protections for its clients and potential investments.

* Serve as a resource and provide troubleshooting and/or issue resolution support to

internal customers.

* Maintain and/or create procedural documentation.

* Conduct testing in the form of project tasks, release updates and bug fixes.

* Complete research, data gathering and analysis.

* Support the usage of Global standardized policies and processes across Finance and

Procurement.

Leadership Development:

* Participate in delivery of a project, including initiation, planning, execution, monitoring

and control, and closure.

* Exposure to financialsystems' insights and analytics and the operational processes that

drive critical decision-making.

Professional Development:

* Exposure to financial systems

* Experience working on an Agile Product team

* Development of professional network by collaborating across finance, technical, and

business department(s)

* Enhancing financial and business acumen through skill development

* Experience in process improvement initiatives

Minimum Requirements

* Must be at least eighteen (18) years of age

* Must be legally authorized to work in the country of employment without needing

sponsorship for employment work visa status now or in the future.

* Must be enrolled in a college or university, pursuing a degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business at the time of the internship

* Willingness to work all scheduled hours, including overtime as needed, with or without reasonable accommodation

Preferred Qualifications

* Be a rising or current Junior or Senior in college or university at the start of the internship program

* Have prior school or work experience in finance, accounting, and business

* Have at least one (1) year of experience using Microsoft Office products (e.g. Word, Excel, Power Point, Teams, and/or Outlook)

* Have previous experience working in a team-oriented setting including work experience, extracurricular activities, military service, etc.

* Previous experience in the Sherwin-Williams Corporate Finance Internship Program
