POSITION SUMMARYThe Demand Planner is responsible for driving accurate and actionable demand forecasts to support inventory optimization, sales planning, and supply chain efficiency. This role leverages advanced forecasting tools such as Logility and Microsoft Dynamics D365 to manage forecast processes, monitor demand signals, and collaborate with cross-functional teams. The Demand Planner plays a critical role in forecast tuning, new item setup, and strategic demand planning initiatives to ensure product availability and inventory optimization. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Develop and maintain category-level forecasts through collaborative planning with Sales, Marketing, and Supply Chain teams.
  • Continuously tune forecasts using historical data, market intelligence, and statistical models to improve accuracy.
  • Lead new item forecast setup, ensuring alignment with launch plans and promotional strategies.
  • Manage transition forecasts for product phase-ins and phase-outs to minimize obsolescence and service disruptions.
  • Track intra-month demand signals and adjust forecasts in real-time to reflect market dynamics.
  • Monitor and respond to forecast alerts by segmentation (e.g., high-velocity SKUs, seasonal items, new products).
  • Conduct forecast attainment analysis to evaluate accuracy and identify improvement opportunities.
  • Assess forecast value add (FVA) to measure the effectiveness of forecasting processes and interventions.
  • Perform parameter optimization assessments to fine-tune system settings for improved forecast performance.
  • Manage demand and adjusted demand inputs from stakeholders to ensure alignment with business objectives.
  • Conduct seasonality analysis to incorporate trends and patterns into forecast models.
  • Implement strategies to reduce demand latency and improve responsiveness to market changes.
  • Support S&OP processes by providing forecast insights and scenario planning.
  • Support the monthly demand review process as part of the S&OP cycle.
  • Lead and support continuous improvement initiatives in demand planning and forecasting.
  • Collaborate with Inventory, Category, and Operations teams to align demand plans with supply capabilities.
  • Utilize Logility and D365 to generate reports, dashboards, and actionable insights.
  • Uphold company values and contribute to a culture of data-driven decision-making and innovation.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Supply Chain, Business, Statistics, or related field (or equivalent experience)
  • 2-4 years of experience in demand planning, forecasting, or supply chain analytics
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Proficiency in demand planning software (e.g., Logility, SAP IBP) and Microsoft Office Suite
  • Experience with Microsoft Dynamics D365 and Power BI
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across functions

Preferred:

  • ASCM CPIM or CSCP Certification
  • Experience with forecast segmentation and statistical modeling
  • Knowledge of machine learning or advanced analytics in forecasting
