About the role:

FME-Fuel Anchor Project Support - Contract

You will report onsite at the South Texas Project nuclear plant in Wadsworth, Texas.

You will work with the FMEA (Failure, Modes and Effective Analysis) project team. This a process to identify "failure mode" describes how something might fail, while "effects analysis" studies the consequences of those failures. FMEA helps teams prioritize risks based on severity, likelihood of occurrence, and detectability, often using a Risk Priority Number (RPN) to guide mitigation efforts.

You will report to the department manager.

Key Responsibilities:



  • Follow all cleanliness and FME requirements.
  • Use work practices that minimize and prevent the introduction of FM into systems, equipment, and components.
  • Maintain a deep understanding of the FME requirements. Ensure the accuracy of work package FME requirements before performing work.
  • Escort non-qualified individuals.
  • Help establish FME controls.
  • Inspect tools and material prior to taking them into the FMEA.
  • If a Foreign Material Control Log is required, present tools and materials for logging prior to entry into the FMEA.
  • Notify supervision of any job site change that could impact FME, including loss of FME control.


*Ensure system and component cleanliness inspections are performed before final closure.

Qualifications:



  • You will be at least 18 years of age.
  • High school diploma, GED or equivalent.
  • Prior nuclear plant administration or work experience.
  • FMEA experience
  • You will successfully pass the nuclear background and fitness for duty including a drug screen.

We are committed to transparency and equity in all our people practices. The base salary range for this position, which is dependent upon experience, qualifications and skills, is estimated to be $40/hour to $50/hour.
