Job Summary

The Senior Financial Analyst for Light Duty (LD) Revenue reports to the Revenue Accounting Manager and will serve asthe key business partner for Sales teams in all areas of budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting and analysis. Responsible for budgeting, forecasting, and reporting and analysis for consolidated and segment-levelfinancial results. Responsibilities include performing analytics and analysis for financial reporting of sales and customer credit accruals. The expectation for the candidate is the ability to grow into larger roles in the future.

Primary Duties


  • Partner with Sales leadership to establish and monitor financial and operations KPI's and metrics, and latest sales forecasts and analysis.
  • In collaboration with functional leaders identify opportunities to improve productivity, track progress and report results
  • Develop quarterly forecasts, annual budgets for Dorman Light Duty segment Sales, Commissions, Bonus, and SG&A Expenses
  • Analyze and report monthly results including Sales, POS, and other key metrics and variance to budget, forecast, and prior year
  • Provides ad-hoc reporting and analysis to support business requests to aide in decision-making
  • Assist with monthly, quarterly, yearly financial closing process. Compile AR (Credits, Deductions, etc) and Sales data and analyze and prepare accrual need schedules for corporate financial reports.
  • Prepare customer rebate payment schedules, obtain SOX payment approvals from Dorman Sales, and process settlement of rebates.
  • Review all customer agreements for financial accrual requirements and compliance with Dorman Accounting Policies and revenue recognition standards. Assess needs and recommend actions to address.
  • Analyze and maintain all rebate agreements in SAP from the time they are established through final settlement. Ensure timely and accurate establishment of new rebates and similar customer credits in SAP with Dorman Sales according to customer agreement requirements.
  • Provide analysis and schedules to support monthly business reviews and staff meetings
  • Develop and maintain a thorough understanding of the sales processes and accounting structure to be able to analyze and discuss all elements of the processes to identify and implement control and process improvements.
  • Proactively develop and /or improve Sales Accounting processes and reporting capabilities
  • Develop financial models and templates to provide business partners / leadership financial guidance on key management decisions
  • Continuous focus on process improvement and increasing efficiency
  • Assist in the creation of presentations for leadership and Board of Directors meetings
  • Assist with the integration of acquisitions as necessary
  • Support various ad hoc requests and key Finance team initiatives
  • Drive month-end closing process related to operations for timely and accurate reporting which includes explanations for actual versus prior year and budget variances
  • Other duties as assigned



Qualifications


  • Excellent MS office skills required, especially Microsoft Excel and PowerPoint
  • Ability to communicate complex financial issues in simple terms, strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent financial analysis skills
  • SAP, Hyperion, BOBJ, Qlik Sense, and Power BI experience preferred
  • Experience in manufacturing or distribution companies a plus
  • Experience to develop strategic relationships with business partners
  • Physical Requirement: Capability to lift 20 pounds
  • Working Conditions: While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to reach, swivel, carry items from one building to another, and speak and actively listen. Noise level is usually moderate.



Education / Experience

  • B.S. in Finance, Accounting or similar field required; MBA a plus
  • Minimum of 3 years related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

The US base salary range for this full-time position is $83,600.00 to $124,300.00. This role is also eligible for a bonus. The actual base pay offered to the successful candidate will depend on multiple factors, including but not limited to job-related knowledge and skills, experience, business needs, geographical location, and internal pay equity. Compensation decisions are made based on the specific facts and circumstances of each role and candidate.
