To perform detailed system design and development of concept prototypes or perform industrial engineering (IE) projects independently or assist in a specific portion of a larger or more complex project.

Essential Functions

  • The ideal candidate will demonstrate proven experience in Lean Management and Project Management, with a strong track record of driving Continuous Improvement and Business Process Improvement initiatives; excellent Problem Solving abilities, a high level of initiative, and the ability to work effectively in team environments; and strong proficiency in Excel and PowerPoint to analyze data, produce clear reports, and present actionable recommendations.

  • Assists in research of technological developments in area of concentration.

  • Performs system design and development in area of concentration.

  • Perform other duties as assigned.


Minimum Education

Bachelor's degree in engineering.

Minimum Experience

Two (2) years research and development experience including design and development of prototypes.

Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities

Familiarity with computer related techniques including modeling, optimization and simulation, strong analytical and communication skills.

Job Conditions

Some travel required

Lab work required.

Preferred Qualifications: This position is hybrid in Collierville TN, Plano TX, Salt Lake City UT, Coraopolis PA. The successful candidate must live within 50 miles of campus location.

Pay Transparency: E24

Pay: $5152.82 - $8244.52
