About the Role (Job Summary)

The Technical Sales Consultant serves as a trusted subject matter expert, supporting revenue growth and customer retention by delivering technical expertise and solutionoriented guidance throughout the sales cycle. This role partners closely with Sales and crossfunctional teams to demonstrate healthcare software solutions, respond to technical sales inquiries, and support proposal development for prospective and existing clients.

The consultant leads product demonstrations, supports RFP/RFI responses, and acts as a product specialist for at least two solutions within the CSI portfolio, including EnterpriseRx. This role plays a key part in helping customers understand how CSI solutions solve realworld pharmacy and healthcare operational challenges.

What You'll Do (Responsibilities)

  • Deliver engaging, tailored product and solution demonstrations for healthcare software in virtual, onsite, and tradeshow settings.
  • Serve as a technical subject matter expert for at least two CSI products, maintaining strong knowledge of features, functionality, and use cases.
  • Partner with Sales, Product, Marketing, Implementation, and Sales Operations to design and recommend customerfocused solutions.
  • Respond to Requests for Proposal (RFP), Requests for Information (RFI), and technical assessments with accurate, timely, and compelling content.
  • Provide technical input to sales proposals, presentations, and customer discussions to support new business acquisition and retention.
  • Represent CSI at conferences, industry events, and trade shows as a product and solution expert.
  • Maintain awareness of competitor offerings, healthcare technology trends, and evolving customer needs.
  • Support commercialization of new products and process improvements by providing fieldbased feedback and insights.

Basic Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience
  • Typically requires 4+ years of relevant experience in healthcare, healthcare technology, pharmacy operations, or technical sales support

Preferred Skills / Experience

  • Experience supporting sales teams in a technical presales, solutions consulting, or sales engineering role
  • Healthcare software or pharmacy systems experience (EnterpriseRx strongly preferred)
  • Pharmacy operations or healthcare workflows knowledge
  • Experience responding to RFPs, RFIs, and technical assessments
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or similar)
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills, including executivelevel presentations
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft tools, including Microsoft Copilot
  • Familiarity with AI tools used in business or healthcare settings
  • Experience presenting at conferences or industry events

Travel, InOffice & Physical Requirements

  • Work Environment:
    • Hybrid (Dallasbased) or fully remote within the continental U.S. (near a major airport preferred)
  • Travel:
    • Up to 30% travel for customer meetings, conferences, and industry events
  • Schedule:
    • Flexible hours; occasional evenings or weekends for travel and events
  • Physical Requirements:
    • Predominantly computerbased work
    • Ability to transport and set up demonstration equipment (up to 20 lbs)

This position offers the possibility of a hybrid work arrangement based on recent updates to our in-office/work from home model. If located in DFW area, the selected candidate may be expected to work on site at our Las Colinas office a minimum of two (2) days per week, with the remaining days worked remotely. Specific in office days may be designated according to team needs and business priorities.

The pay range shown below is aligned with McKesson's pay philosophy, and pay will always be compliant with any applicable regulations. $99,800 - $166,400
