Allina Health has a robust Mental Health and Addiction Clinical Service Line that offers the full continuum of care including integrated psychiatry, specialty outpatient clinics, addiction/co-occurring services, partial hospitalization, day treatment, emergency, and inpatient care.

Key Position Details:

As an adult psychiatrist at an Allina Mental Health Hospital Based Clinics (HBCs), you will provide services for individuals experiencing complex mental health care needs. Your team is closely aligned with Allina hospitals and facilitates referrals from the emergency departments and hospital discharges. You will also receive referrals and coordinate care with Allina primary care providers. The HBCs are also home to numerous mental health specialties.

Job Description:

Principle Responsibilities

  • Consults with providers to assist with ongoing management of the behavioral health needs of patients.

  • Engages the patient and family to develop treatment plans that address identified goals.

  • Develops and leads staff education in psychiatric issues.

  • May participate in on-call rotation.

Job Requirements

  • MD, DO, or foreign equivalency training required
  • BE/BC with ABMS or AOA required
  • Active, non-restricted medical license in MN (or ability to obtain)
  • Ability to obtain and/or maintain MN DEA certification and National Provider Identifier (NPI)
  • Ability to meet criteria/qualifications for Credentialing and hospital privileges, if applicable
  • Completion of addiction fellowship or ASAM (American Society of Addiction Medicine) certification

Pay Range

Pay Range: $340,025 to $351,000 per year The pay described reflects the starting base pay range, assuming a full-time FTE. Your starting rate will depend on a variety of factors including, but not limited to, your experience, education, and the union agreement (if applicable).
