Temporary Laboratory Associate

The Van Otterloo lab is looking for a temporary laboratory associate. The position is to lead a short-term project involving experimental design and data collection pertaining to genetic control of tooth development during mouse embryogenesis. Tasks will include, but are not limited to, histology, CT/SEM/TEM analysis, microdissection of embryonic mouse tissue, tissue processing by immunofluorescence, and facilitating breeding of complex mouse genetic crosses.

A PhD in a scientific field involving cell biology, developmental biology, molecular biology, genetics, or biochemistry is required. Required qualifications include experience in biological sciences, knowledge of the above-mentioned techniques, strong interpersonal skills and work ethic are necessary. Highly desired qualifications include previous independent research experience.
