Description MaineHealth Maine Medical Center's Division of Cardiac Surgery is seeking a full-time, academic, preferably experienced cardiac surgeon who ideally has an interest in minimally invasive and/or robotically assisted mitral valve repair surgery. The Cardiac Surgery Program at Maine Medical Center is a well-established program with an annual volume of 1,500 cases. The case volume includes coronary revascularization, complex and minimally invasive valve surgery, congenital heart surgery, traditional and convergent MAZE procedures, open and endovascular thoracic aortic vascular procedures, and placement of ventricular assist devices (VADs). In addition, there is an active and growing Valve Clinic performing transcatheter aortic, mitral and tricuspid valve procedures as well as an aggressive ECMO program. This position offers:
