QA/QC Inspector - Mechanical/Piping

Job description for a quality inspector to support mechanical and piping inspections

ASME B31 experience

Qualified as a level II inspector in the mechanical/piping discipline.

Associates degree required

Bachelors degree preferred

Nuclear Experience preferred

This job involves different projects at ORNL and TWPC.

DOE projects for operations, replacements, new installs. One Project is CPS (continuous purge system) within the molten salt reactor experiment.

Q not required but need to be eligible for a HSPD12 badge.

Other projects this position will support

The LGWO Liquid Gas waste operation)

TWPC (Transuranic Waste Processing Center)

Supporting those projects on a day in and day out basis. Besides their piping and mechanical experience, they'll be utilized for receipt inspections and quality assurance as well as Compliance and inspections.

As far as office location, they will have a stationary desk at one of those projects, and they could possibly move around to those other projects as needed. They try to keep them stationary for the most part if they can.
