About the Opportunity:

The Intermediate Accountant is responsible for the timely and accurate preparation of monthly and annual financial reports, as well as supporting audit schedules. This role involves gathering required data, leveraging available resources to investigate and resolve discrepancies, and maintaining the integrity of the general ledger. The position also requires performing analytical reviews of financial statements and presenting findings to management.

What You'll Do:
  • Prepare and review journal entries with appropriate supporting documentation.
  • Develop and review monthly, quarterly, and annual schedules for management and audit purposes; respond to internal and external requests within required timeframes.
  • Prepare and analyze monthly financial statements in accordance with GAAP and SAP standards.
  • Review accounts payable invoices for accurate general ledger coding, as needed.
  • Generate and maintain standard reports, including variance analyses, to provide analytical insights on financial results.
  • Investigate and resolve variances identified in account reconciliations prior to close; document findings and recommended solutions.
  • Create and deliver financial summary reports for management using Workday or other reporting tools.
  • Prepare corporate tax returns, as assigned.
  • Complete recurring monthly reports within established deadlines.
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of GAAP, SAP, and tax reporting requirements.
  • Collaborate with senior accountants and management to ensure effective information flow across departments.
  • Identify and implement process improvements to enhance efficiency.
  • Participate in departmental initiatives, teams, and task groups as needed.
  • Investigate and resolve month-end discrepancies within 30 days of close; communicate findings in writing to the accounting team and management.
  • Develop and update departmental procedures and documentation.
  • Interpret complex information and present insights clearly with a broad, business-oriented perspective.
  • Deliver timely and accurate financial information to support monthly reporting deadlines.
  • Be available to work extended hours during peak periods, as required.
Job Requirements
What You'll Bring:
  • Bachelor's degree in accounting or related field required. An additional four (4) years of experience will be considered in lieu of degree.
  • Three (3) years of experience in accounting required
